Colorado ballot will include two measures targeting transgender youth
Colorado voters are set to decide two measures that target transgender young people: one would restrict participation in school sports, and another would ban gender-affirming surgery for minors.
Neither proposal is current law. Their placement on the ballot nevertheless creates a consequential statewide threat that transgender people, families, clinicians, and allies should track closely.
Scorecard impact: No change while the measures remain proposals. The Colorado scorecard should be reviewed immediately after the election result or any court action.
