Brazil Federal District announces trans document-change drive with October 19 deadline
Agência Brasil reports that trans and nonbinary Federal District residents can register through October 19 for a November 18 name and gender document-change drive. The Federal District Public Defender and Distrito Drag are organizing the service, including for residents whose civil registration is from another Brazilian state. This planned local service offers a practical route to documents matching peoples identities; it does not establish a new national recognition law or completed outcomes.
