Asturias publishes equality law with trans-specific protections
Asturias published Law 7/2026 on October 23, establishing regional equality and anti-discrimination measures for LGBTI people and their families. The statute includes trans-specific provisions in healthcare and other public services. Its final provision sets entry into force two months after publication, on December 23; some implementation measures have longer deadlines. This is an enacted regional advance, with delivery still to be assessed, rather than evidence that every protection is already available across Spain.
